Ugly Lamp Contest
July 12th at 5 PM Exhibition Hall Kewaunee County Fairgrounds
Two categories :
• “Born Ugly”: Lamps purchased as-is with no modifications
• “Made Ugly”: Lamps intentionally altered to enhance their ugliness
• Safety Requirements:
• Lamps must be structurally sound and not pose a safety hazard
• No exposed wiring or broken glass
• Lamps must be able to be safely moved by a single person
Restrictions
• No lamps with offensive or discriminatory content
• No religious or political themes
• Judging Criteria:
• Overall “ugliness”
• Uniqueness of design
• Creativity in modification (if “Made Ugly”)
Lamps need to arrive at 4 pm and will be on display until
4:30 pm on Sunday
Contestants MUST be there for the contest starting at 5 PM
Prizes: each of the two categories will have three placings :
1st: $100
2nd: $50
3rd:$25
And, of course, bragging rights for 2025!
